Conker, a British producer of business rugged tablet, touch screen and mobile devices, has announced the availability of its SX80 Android 8.1 tablet.
The SX80 has been designed to be fit for purpose within scenarios where a business rugged device is required to enable a mobile workforce and enterprise mobility strategy. This includes warehouse and logistics, engineering, construction, manufacturing, retail and emergency services.
Features of the SX80 include a large 8-inch screen, which allows a great deal of information to be viewed; a powerful Octacore processor; a compelling IP65 rating and approved 1.2 metre drop test. The device comes with 64GB storage and 4GB memory. Additional features include a fingerprint reader; wireless charging; an optional 2D barcode scanner; capacitive multi-touch screen with toughened glass; and a 6000 mAh battery capacity.
James Summers, CEO and founder, Conker says, “The digitisation of antiquated paper-based systems, via mobile devices and apps, provides organisations powerful options to capture data more accurately and effectively and to improve productivity. As teams explore the benefits of enterprise mobility solutions, one aspect that is often overlooked is the total cost of ownership (TCO) that is associated with purchasing devices; which includes downtime, device repair and replacement costs. Our business rugged, fit-for-purpose devices are guaranteed to reduce TCO and support productivity enhancements.”
Due to its appealing screen size and powerful processing power, Conker expects the SX80 to be adopted by firms within warehouse and logistics scenarios, that might want to mount a device to a vehicle or forklift to manage the receipt and delivery of goods. If necessary, the device can be used to support teams during inventory control, as a barcode scanner. In addition, it can be used within wider scenarios to support a mobile workforce.
Using Conker’s SX80 devices to improve and replace legacy paper-based systems can contribute towards digital transformation and reduce an organisation’s carbon footprint. Conker offers a strong and compelling sales and after-sales support. Throughout the entire purchase lifecycle, including repairs and support, customers will liaise with an efficient customer services team.
